Howdy! Today we will make window lightning shade naturally on a photo just using Photoshop. I’m excited to share this knowledge because I have made it many times on my photos, and just want to share with you. In this technique, I will use low opacity horizontal panels with color balance. So be attentive all procedure has been described in blow with examples of images.

Steps to Make Window Lightning Shade Naturally on a Photo
Step 1: Open a Lady Image
In our first step, open a lady image from the computer for creating window shade. For this purpose go to File -> Open or press the command Ctrl + O. Recently an open window will expose, here select the require image and do click on Open button.
I have selected a lady image because, this will remain perfect for this effect.
Step 2: Make Copy Layer
When you will open your require image a background layer will produce in the layer panel. Now make the copy layer of it, for this purpose press the command Ctrl + J or go to Layer -> New -> Layer Via Copy. You will see a layer 1 will be created in the layer panel.
Step 3: Adjust RGB Level Properties
In 3rd step manage the RGB level properties for the layer 1. For this purpose go to Image -> Adjustment from the main menu or press the command Ctrl + L. A level properties window will expose. Here adjust the values as 0, 1.64, 200 like below picture. More about Level see this http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-color-correct-rgb-images-quickly-easily-using-photoshop/
After setting the level properties, you will see the image will become more lighter.
Step 4: Create New Layer with Name Horizontal Panels
After adjustment of the level properties now create a new layer in the layer panel. For this determination do click on the second icon in below of the layer panel and change the name of the layer as “Horizontal Panels”.
Keep in mind this layer will transparent and you can make any kind of effect on it. But here we are going to make a window shadow outer to an inner side in the room. so we should plot horizontal panels.
Here I have created a new layer in layer panel look it.
Step 5: Plot the Horizontal Panels
In this 5th step make the horizontal panels on the newly created layer. Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool and plot it on the layer.
It will simple dotted lines, keep in mind plot it like a thin strip line with Width 25.68cm and Height 2.22cm. In the below picture, I have plotted horizontal panels just look it and make practice like that. More about Marquee Tools here http://www.photoshophelps.com/2015/08/06/photoshop-basics-ways-to-use-marquee-tools-for-selections/.
Step 6: Give Fill Black to Panels
After plotting the panel now go to Edit -> Fill from the main menu or press the co command Shift + F5. A fill dialog box will expose at the front of your screen. Here pick up the option Black under the contents and do click on Ok button.
You will see the empty panel will be turned into fill black. See here in the below picture I have done it successfully.
Step 7: Make More Fill Black Panel
In above step first horizontal fill black panel has been created. Now make more panel same like that. For this purpose select the Move Tool from Toolbar and hold the Alt key from the keyboard. Suddenly you will see double arrow when you will hold the alt key. It’s mean you can create more and more copy panels. So move it with the help of mouse and adjust it in the below of the first panel with leaving some space.
Make more and more panels with the same step. See a below picture I have made these successfully.
Step 8: Turn Panels in Gaussian Blur
In this step make all panels in Gaussian blur. So go to Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur from the main menu. Recently a Gaussian blur window will expose. Here put 5.7 value of radius pixel and do click on Ok button. Do this same step for all panels. Another way to use Gaussian blur see this http://www.photoshophelps.com/2015/09/02/photoshop-tutorials-eliminate-bad-spots-from-skin-using-gaussian-blur/.
Step 9: Make a Group for All Panels
The all black horizontal panels have been plotted. Now enclose all these in a group folder. For this determination do click on the 3rd icon from a right side in below of the layer panel. You will see a group 1 will create, here drag all the panel layers in it with a help of a mouse.
Step 10: Manage Color Balance of Group 1
After enclosing all panels in a group, now make the adjustment of the colors. So do click on the fill or adjustment icon in below of the layer panel and pick up the option Color Balance from the list.
At wrinkle time, a color balance properties window will expose. Here adjust the as
Cyan and Red: +36
Magenta and Green: +72
Yellow and Blur: -43
Step 11: Reduce the Opacity of Group 1
In our last step, reduce the opacity of the group 1. So select out the group 1 layer and reduce the opacity 35% from an above side of the layer panel.
You will see, the panels will become more effective and more beautiful.
Finally, we have created window lighting blinds on a picture just using Photoshop. I hope you will have understood it.
In the end, I conclude that it is so easy to create window lighting on a photo. We have winded up all procedure Just in 11 steps. First of all opened a lady image from the computer and made a copy layer. Adjusted RGB level and plot the horizontal panels and gave them Gaussian blur. Enclosed all panels layer into a ground and gave it color balance and reduced the opacity. This was all procedure which we have discussed above the tutorial. I hope you have enjoyed it.
