Read this tutorial complete every step has been cleared in blow. So do practice work along us to become a professional composer or graphics designer.
Compose a Funland or Zoo Ticket Step By Step
Step 1: Create New Document
First of all you must create a new document related to ticket size. So go to File -> New or press the command Ctrl + N from the keyboard.
A new window will open containing lot of further options related to a new document. In this window, many of options are very important and some are minor.
The first option is “name”, this is not an important option, but sometimes it become very important when you are working on many of documents. The Name of the document can uniquely identify your document. So enter the named file as “Joyland Ticket” by removing default name Untitled-1. After giving the name adjust the value of Preset as Custom.
In next you will seem very important options which are Width and Height. These are options related your documents size in vertically and horizontally. So set the values of Width and Height according to require ticket size. Adjust the values of Width 4 Inches and Height 2 Inches.
It’s time to put the resolution of the document which is a very important feature and base of the quality of graphics. Without the resolution, you can’t able to get a good graphics results. So set the resolution value for your document above to 1.5 Mbs. This size of the document may give you good graphics results. I’ve set the value of Resolution 400 Pixels / Inch. It’s mean there are 400 Pixels in each square Inch area of the sheet. After adjusting the value of resolution now select the Color Mode as RGB 8bit with Background Contents as White.
Finally, all values of the new document have been filled just press the Ok button to create a new sheet. The white blank sheet will appear in front of your screen as.
You can see that the background layer is the lock, first of all, unlock this layer by double-click on it. Do a right-click and pick up option duplicate layer.
Step 2: Add Background and Text
Insert a background color into the blank white sheet. Select the Color Picker and choose the color #f6edb3. Now pick the Paint Bucket Tool and do a single click on the sheet the background color will change and looks like below image.
Add some text related to Joy land so select the Type Tool and write the text “Welcome To Joyland” with text format Orator Std, Font Size 20px at the top side of the ticket. After the text click on Tick Icon above the screen.
Add more text in left middle side the ticket with text format Palace Script MT, Font Size 36pt and rotate the text at 120° angle by Move Tool. After that add more text “FUN” with text style Arial, Font Size 36pt and give the Stroke 8px, Color #fb0309 from Layer -> Stroke.
Add a circle beyond the FUN word with Fill and Stroke Color #f69679 by the help of Ellipse Tool. Draw this filled circle in a background of FUN word.
Type the text “It’s” with text format Palace Script MT, Font Size 24pt in the bottom side of the circle.
Under the circle insert, “Joyland” with text format Castellar, select only “J” character and enhance its size at 48pt. After that select “OLAND” text and reduce the text size at 18pt. Now give the Stroke to this Joyland text layer with Stroke Color #af9a0a and size 3px from Layer -> Stroke option in the main menu.
Step 3: Insert Images in Ticket
Text portion has completed, now embed some beautiful images related to the roller coaster, parks, zoo, and Funland. So open all these images with Photoshop and drop one by one into a ticket with Move Tool. You can see the round images overlap in the below picture.
This is not difficult things just use of Elliptical Marquee Tool which is a cutting tool. Just cut the area in a circle which you like most and drag into a ticket with Move Tool. Arrange all images layers in the circle and overlap the layers by dragging. In previous tutorials, I’ve told you about a use of Elliptical and Marquee tools with examples so see this
Now Funland ticket is ready but here is a little problem in the welcome text. This is looking dull, so add a background of welcome text by the Rectangular Tool with Fill and Stroke Color #ed1c24.
Funland ticket is ready now just save it in PNG image format. Go to File -> Save and save it in your computer.
In this tutorial, we try to design a Funland or zoo ticket for public just using Photoshop. First of all we created a new document with size of the ticket. Added welcome text at the top of the ticket and gave background. In Left middle side inserted more text and inserted a filled circle beyond the FUN text. After adding all text layers, inserted the images related to Joyland, parks or zoo on the right side of the ticket. Enjoy this tutorial and try it at your end, I hope every step will have been cleared.
